Frequently Asked Questions
No. I'm focused exclusively on iOS.
I take bugs very seriously and thoroughly test on iPhone hardware before an app is complete.
It's also important that you take part in the testing to make sure that the app matches your vision. It also keeps me accountable to you, and allows you to see your app coming to life. I use TestFlight for this purpose.
It is my policy to fix any bugs that are a result of my work for free. I will support and provide bug fixes for apps up to one year after the conclusion of the project.
Yes. I am located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and would be happy to meet with you in person.
Yes. You hold the copyright to any work that you hire me to do and are entitled to 100% of the proceeds of that work. You would need to establish your own developer account with Apple to publish the content and be paid by them directly.
Probably not. I have my own queue of good ideas to develop. You would need to have much more to offer to earn your share than just an idea.
Yes. If you're unhappy with an app I wrote for any reason, I want you to have your money back.
Apple protects your privacy, so I don't have access to any information about you.
To get a refund, you'll need to contact iTunes customer service.
Trainboard works consistently on all of our testing devices, and on Apple's testing devices (otherwise they wouldn't approve the app for the store!). I have thousands of sessions listed on Flurry, so it appears that Trainboard is working for most people.
Trainboard uses a local database and does some intense operations to look up trains. That's why it takes a few seconds to load.
Here are some troubleshooting steps to try if Trainboard isn't loading for you:
1) Try rebooting your phone: hold down the power button and slide the slider that appears to power it off. Wait a few seconds, and hold down the button to start up the phone again.
2) Try reinstalling the app. Touch the icon and hold until the icon shakes. Click the little X. Then go to buy it again in the store (you won't be charged twice).
As accurate as Google Transit. Trainboard ships with the latest GTFS data published by SEPTA.
SEPTA typically operates major holidays (such Christmas day) on a Sunday schedule. These changes do appear in Trainboard, as they appear in the GTFS trains.
Sometimes SEPTA runs special trains that are not in the GTFS data, such as late night trains on New Year's Eve. These trains do not appear in Trainboard.
Someone else has made a SEPTA regional rail app, see: http://www.androidpit.com/en/android/market/apps/app/com.chapslife.septa...
There are no plans to include this.
